CLUBGRANTS
We are pleased to say that this year our contributions, donations and sponsorships remain as important to us as they always have been. With over $2,480,000 worth of grants donated in the past 10 years, our funding has played a vital role in backing valuable projects for the neighbourhood.
CLUBGRANTS
Since 2009, Seven Hills RSL have proudly donated over $16,300,000 total Club Grants payments to Category 1 and Category 2.
Seven Hills RSL has always believed in supporting the community that supports us.
We are pleased to say that this year our contributions, donations and sponsorships remain as important to us as they always have been. With over $2,480,000 worth of grants donated in the past 10 years, our funding has played a vital role in backing valuable projects for the neighbourhood. We are proud to give back to the community that we belong to.
The Seven Hills Group has a strong commitment to the community under the ClubGRANTS scheme formerly the Community Development Support Expenditure Scheme. This is a funding process by which the club industry supports an extensive range of community groups.
The ClubGRANTS Scheme operates through local area committees to ensure that available funding is used to its maximum benefit.
As an active member of the Blacktown City Council ClubGRANTS Committee the club always endeavours to extend financial and “In-Kind” support to locals in need. The Seven Hills Group also supports a range of community groups at its own discretion.
This work ranges across the spectrum, in areas which include special education, health, disability support, domestic violence, migrant resources, crime prevention and sport.
A full rundown on the ClubGRANTS process, including guidelines, application processes and downloadable forms can accessed through the ClubsNSW website at www.clubsnsw.com.au.
Through the ClubGRANTS scheme, we have made donations to a variety of worthy causes in the local area:
Royal Life Saving NSW
Royal Life Saving works to prevent drowning by equipping Australians with vital water safety skills.
We’re proud to support the Preschool Water Safety Project at First Grammar Seven Hills, helping kids learn how to stay safe around water. Since 2009, we’ve donated $607,658, including $84,000 in 2022 alone.
Defence Community Dogs
Defence Community Dogs provides highly trained Assistance Dogs to Australian Defence Force Veterans, supporting mood, depressive and anxiety disorders including Post-Traumatic Stress. These dogs help Veterans rebuild their lives – and in many cases, save them.
Last year, we donated $60,000 and have committed $300,000 over the next five years.
Save Our Sons Duchenne Foundation
Save Our Sons Duchenne Foundation, founded in 2008, is Australia’s peak body for Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy. We’ve donated $64,500 through ClubGRANTS since 2019, including $8,000 in 2022, and our GM, Joseph Bayssari, has raised over $160,000 on the Walk for Duchenne.
Sir Roden & Lady Cutler Foundation
The Sir Roden & Lady Cutler Foundation began in the 1990s, providing emergency transport for those in need of vital medical care. In 2021, Seven Hills RSL donated a new Medical Transport Vehicle, ensuring free transport for eligible members. Last year, we donated $15,000, bringing our total support since 2021 to $39,735.
The Combined Churches of Mt Druitt Christmas Luncheon
The Combined Churches of Mt Druitt host a Christmas Day Lunch for those experiencing loneliness or hardship, serving food and giving gifts free of charge. In 2022, we donated $4,500, contributing to a total of $42,550 since 2009 — and we remain committed to supporting this community tradition.
