Supporting DCD Program

Supporting the Defence Community Dogs Program

Seven Hills RSL Club is a proud sponsor of Defence Community Dogs, sponsoring 4 DCD Assistance Dogs to date and so far, have been allocated with Cassie, Condo and very recently Alma, through the Club Grants program since 2022.
Defence Community Dogs is an independent program that provides highly trained Assistance Dogs at no cost, to Australian Defence Force (ADF) veterans who require physical and emotional support for mood, depressive and anxiety disorders, including PTSD.
The training of these dogs occurs at Bathurst Correctional Centre, facilitated both by professional dog trainers and incarcerated individuals engaged in recovery programs. Veterans who have received Defence Community Assistance Dogs consistently report that their dogs are invaluable to their rehabilitation process.
Through rigorous training and dedication, these dogs play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of ex-serving Australian Defence Force members, helping to rebuild lives and provide a renewed sense of purpose.

Sub Branch Presented with Community Recognition Award

Sub Branch gets Presented with Community Recognition Award

We are honoured to announce that on Monday 6 May, Seven Hills-Toongabbie-Wentworthville Sub Branch received a Community Recognition Award from Mark Taylor MP, Mark Speakman Leader of the Opposition and Liberal Party, & Robyn Preston MP for their commendable effort in establishing and maintaining the Seven Hills RSL War Memorabilia Area.

Each item and artefact is a testament to the work of Sub-Branch members, including Chris Gammage, who has worked tirelessly to research each memorabilia piece and provide a write-up for each display.

We welcome the local community to come visit our War Memorabilia Area, as it embodies an integral part of Australia’s history that must be upheld and shared with future generations to come. By recognizing the sacrifices of our service men and women, we honour their commitment to our safety and freedom.

Important Club Security Update

IMPORTANT CLUB UPDATE

Seven Hills RSL continues to prioritize data security following news of a data breach impacting other clubs and hospitality venues in NSW.

The breach was linked to Outabox, a third-party IT provider that provides services to the hospitality and gaming sectors in NSW and ACT.

While some NSW Clubs and venues are affected, Seven Hills RSL remains unaffected, ensuring the protection of our members’ personal information.

Additional updates will be provided once further details are confirmed.

Christmas Gifts Donated to Hospital

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing community! With all of your generous donations, we accumulated over 150+ gifts for kids and raised $937 in support of Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals.

These toys were delivered to Blacktown Hospital on Thursday 21 December by our Finance Manager, Anthony Holmes and Marketing Manager, Jessica Chen.

The staff at Blacktown Hospital were left speechless when a sleigh-load of gifts arrived, all beautifully wrapped (thanks to Reception staff) and labelled ready for healthcare staff to share with their littlest patients.

One healthcare staff said, “You can feel the overwhelming love and support here today from our local community, and it means the world to us, our patients and their families knowing they care”.

Thanks to all of you, and together with the Better Foundation, we have been able to make a difference and bring joy to those in need during the holiday season. We appreciate everyone who contributed and we’re incredibly grateful for your support in making this Christmas Giving Tree a success.
